1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup water
1/2 t caraway seeds
1/2 t salt
4 cups shredded red cabbage
2 medium apples (cored and chopped)
In a large saucepan, melt butter; stir in lemon juice,
brown sugar, water, caraway seeds and salt. Add cabbage and
apples; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer
for 25 to 30 minutes.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
