1 1/2 cups of confectioner’s sugar
1 cup of butter, softened
1 egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of almond extract
3 cups of f lour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of cream of tartar
Frosting:
3 cups of confectioner’s sugar
6 tablespoons of butter, softened
4 tablespoons of evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
Mix 1 1/2 cups of the confectioners sugar, the butter, egg, vanilla, almond extract, flour, ba king
soda, and the cream of tartar. Roll into 3/4 -inch balls. Place the balls of dough onto an
ungreased cookie sheet and press down the center. Bake at 350 degrees for 3 minutes
and then press the centers down again and bake for an additional 5 minutes. Place the
cookies on a rack to cool. When the cookies are cool, combine the frosting ingredients and
mix until smooth. Fill the centers of the cookies with the frosting.
