Southern Peanut Butter Pie

1 cup light or dark corn syrup

1 cup sugar

3 eggs, slightly beaten

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/3 cup chunk style peanut butter

1 unbaked 9 inch pastry shell

1 cup whipping cream

Combine first five ingredients, mixing until thoroughly blended. Pour into prepared pastry shell. Bake

in hot oven 400° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to moderate 350° and bake 30 to 35 minutes longer.

Filling should appear slightly less set to center. Chill. Top with whipped cream.
