American Split Pea Soup

Ingredients and Instructions

8 cups water -- cold

1 ham bones

2 cups split peas

1 chopped onion -- medium

1 carrot -- chopped

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

Bring water and ham bone to a boil. Add remaining ingredients and simmer.
