1 c Shortning

1 1/2 c Sugar

3 Eggs

3 c Flour; unsifted

1 ts Baking soda

1/2 ts Salt

9 oz Mincemeat, crumbled

Preheat oven to 375ÃƒÂ¸. In a large mixer bowl, beat shortning and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Stir together dry ingredients; gradually blend into shortning mixture. Mix well. Stir in mincemeat.* Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2-inches apart, onto greased baking sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Garnish with glaze if desired.
